A focused outlet for retired generators

We buy eligible data-center generators from 100 to 2,500 kW, running or non-running. A single retired unit or a group of generators can be submitted for review. Each generator’s rating, condition and removal requirements are assessed individually.

Chad’s background includes buying used generators and dismantling data centers. Commercial Generator Buyers applies that experience to generator purchasing and removal around Naples and along the routes in our service area.

Coordinate the generator sale with the site schedule

The date equipment can leave the site may depend on replacement power, an approved shutdown, contractor access or a building handover. Include the relevant dates in your inquiry. A target date helps planning; it is not a confirmed removal commitment until the scope and schedule have been agreed.

  • Asset list: identify each generator with its rating, make, model, condition and hours where known.
  • Availability: distinguish equipment already released for sale from generators still needed for operations.
  • Site coordination: note access restrictions, contractor requirements and the site contact responsible for the project.
  • Connections and access: describe what is still connected and the loading route.
  • Ownership: confirm who can authorize the generator sale, especially in leased or multi-tenant facilities.

Define exactly what is included

Generator projects can involve enclosures, tanks and associated wiring. List these separately so their ownership, condition and removal boundaries can be discussed. The final agreement identifies the purchased assets and the work included.

This page covers generator purchasing and removal. Any broader facility work or other equipment requires a separate scope discussion; a generator inquiry does not establish a complete data-center decommissioning contract.

Running condition is one part of the review

A functioning standby generator, a unit with a known fault and an untested retired set need different assessments. Existing records and nameplate photos help. For failed equipment, see how remaining value is reviewed. For installed equipment, see our purchase and removal process.

Start with the equipment location

The seller or asset manager may be based anywhere. Our service assessment follows the physical equipment location, with a core area of approximately 3.5 driving hours from Naples. Orlando-area projects receive an address and route review. Send the first unit’s details and describe additional units in the notes.
